At Berean Bible Church, we use expository preaching, which simply means that we cover entire books of the Bible, verse-by-verse. In
doing so, we obtain a full understanding of what the original author meant while under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. While it may be tempting to only preach on comfortable and uplifting passages, expository preaching forces us to examine passages that are challenging or even uncomfortable. The Apostle Paul, while speaking to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:27 said “for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.” While being thorough in our coverage of the Holy Scriptures, we also strive to make them understandable and applicable to everyday life.
